And there's a lot to cover, so let's jump right in. Let's kick things off by setting the stage. Imagine a pyramid. No, not of ancient stones, but of modern-day health principles. Each layer intricately weaves into the next to form a solid foundation of well-being. That's why I love using dōTERRA’s Wellness Lifestyle Pyramid. It's a great example of the different levels of our health.
As we journey deeper into the heart of wellness, we'll explore the foundational principles that shape our vibrant lives by taking a peek into the heart of this Wellness Lifestyle Pyramid. I hope you've had a chance to listen to Episode 14 where we discussed how to create a wellness routine. We talked about six areas of wellness that, if given attention, help us develop a beautiful symphony of well-being.
And in that episode, I promised to break down each level of the wellness lifestyle and how to give them the attention they deserve.
Like a sturdy pyramid, our wellness foundation is anchored in the timeless principles of nutrition, digestion, movement, and metabolism. These foundational elements support every aspect of our well-being. In this episode, we'll cover the nutrition level and in the next, we'll discuss digestion. Each step is crucial in creating a solid structure that stands the test of time. Similar to the ancient pyramids that still stand today. Without a sturdy foundation, the walls would crumble, the roof would cave in.
Similarly, without addressing key aspects of nutrition, digestion, movement, and metabolism, our health journey may falter. Because each aspect plays a pivotal role in nurturing our bodies and our minds.
First things first, let's talk about the foundation. In construction, a sturdy foundation is essential for any building to stand tall and strong. Similarly, balanced nutrition is the bedrock of your health. Just like you wouldn't build a house on shaky ground, you shouldn't build your wellness routine on poor eating habits.
So, start with whole-foods, vibrant fresh fruits, crisp vegetables, lean proteins. lean proteins and nourishing whole grains.
